After a weight loss or gain, pregnancy or even after puberty our body goes through certain changes. These changes lead to stretch marks. These marks appear when our skin overstretches due to rapid increase and decrease in the size. When we go through rapid weight loss our body tends to have more prominent stretch marks. Then, we go on to try various skin creams, oils, and treatments. But not always we find positive results.
Or when the treatment takes a longer time to show results we quit it and start disbelieving its claims. We are very much aware of this problem and this is why we have come up with some simple ways to reduce these stretch marks naturally.
Our skin needs regular moisturizing. Not matter what is your skin type, you should never skip this. Use olive oil or castor oil, or even coconut oil to moisturize your skin. Since moisturizing leads to collagen production reduces breakdown and reduces stretch marks. Mix two or more oils and prepare a potion to massage the area in the night before hitting the bed.
#2 Avoid rapid weight loss
This is also a good idea to lose weight gradually rather than rapidly. As rapid weight loss leads to prominent stretch marks.
#3 Egg white mask
You can also try this home remedy. All you need to do is apply an egg white mask on the area and let it dry. Then rinse it with cold water. Apply oil or any moisturizer to avoid dryness and egg’s smell. Try this for a couple of weeks.
#4 Aloe Vera masks
You can also try aloe Vera juice. Apply the juice directly, leave it for 15 minutes and rinse with lukewarm water. Aloe Vera is an essential ingredient in most of the cosmetic products also.
#5 Be hydrated
Another way to deal with stretch marks is to keep yourself well hydrated. Drink at least 3-4 liters of water daily.
#6 Potato juice
You can also apply potato juice on the marks. Extract some juice out of potatoes, apply on the area. Rinse off with lukewarm water once dry. Try this for 3 weeks and see the changes.
#7 Lemon juice
Just like a potato, lemon too has skin lightening properties. You can directly rub a slice of lemon on the marks and rinse off with cold water after 10 minutes. It will also leave a citrus smell that will linger for some time.
