Time to feel a little nostalgic. Remember how we used to eat our lunch, sitting with our besties sharing meals and making memories. Our friend’s lunch box always used to taste better than ours. Well, to make you feel a little nostalgic we have gathered the info about what kids around the world eat for lunch at school. School meals used to be different from school to school, where sometimes schools strive to serve nutritious meals to kids, some only serve favorites.
As a kid, we only had a chance to taste on school’s meal, so here we have got you the menu from the schools around the world.
#1 Lunch served in France
Spinach, potatoes, bread and cheese. Sounds quite fulfilling, and looks like a dish served in a fast-food joint.
In Russia kids get breakfast too, here we see some buckwheat, sausages, and tea. Lucky kids.
Kids in Japan get canteen food only in high school. They are served hot soup, fish or chicken, rice, and milk.
#4 The USA
In USA it is mostly fast food, as it is loved by kids and convenient. Here we have peaches, chicken or nuggets, corns and soup.
Just like USA in the UK too fast food is served often. Like, waffle with chocolate, porridge, fried potatoes, salad, and fruits. But who regrets it, right?
In Thailand traditional meals are served at schools, which are commonly eating at the homes too. They serve rice, pudding, pork in sauce or curry. Tempting?
We must share that Finland takes school meals very seriously. Children are served morning and evening snacks while for the meals they can choose from the various dishes served in the canteen. They serve nutritional meals and keep in mind kids’ dietary needs.
