Here are a few tips that will ensure that you to get to work on time!
1. Change Your Routine
In order to get a little punctual, you need to change your lifestyle a bit. Many of us sit in front of the TV right after work. You need to avoid doing this because it makes us lazy and we end up procrastinating. As soon as you get home to freshen up and get into your comfortable clothes, this will make you active and you won’t waste your time in front of the TV or your phone! Right after this start preparing your dinner which you could eat while watching TV. This way you will get your work done without procrastinating and will also be able to relax by watching TV or playing video games.
Also, you could start prepping a day before, for example, many of the working mothers get late to work since they have to prepare meals and make sure that everything is organized before they head out. In that case, you could prepare your breakfast a night before, there are plenty of options such as at bars, or a smoothie. This way you will be able to get a few extra minutes of sleep as well.
2. Change Your Mode of Transport
Sometimes we really cannot help getting late for work because there is so much traffic. However, if your boss has given you the last warning and getting late could actually mean losing the job then it is time to change your mode of transport.
If you are someone who travels by car then you need to switch it with something like Yamaha bikes, it takes up less space, as a result, you will be able to reach your office faster. Apart from that, it is quite economical as it consumes less petrol compared to a car.
3. Train Your Kids and Spouse
It can be really difficult for a working mother to get to the office on time, especially if you have cranky babies who need you all the time. In this case, you need to train your kids to become independent from a very young age. For example, once your child turns three he/she should be able to do basic things such as change clothes by themselves that way you won’t be caught up with your kids.
It is also important to train your husband to play a part in the household chores. You both could take turns where one could make breakfast and the other could get kids ready for school. If the workload is reduced you will be able to impress your boss by reaching office on time.
4. Start Your Day Earlier
Starting your day earlier is a great way to get some extra work done and head out for work on time. So instead of waking up at 6 am you should wake up at 5. Waking up an hour earlier will also ensure that you take some time for morning cardio which will improve your overall health. However, it is important to have an adequate amount of sleep for you to be productive at work, so make sure you hit the bed by 11 pm.
