Subsequently, either of the partners is free to walk out of the relationship as and when they require. There are no legal procedures like you see in case of marriages.
3. Live-in relationship is not seen as a crime in the eyes of the Indian law
According to the Indian Law, live-in relationships or cohabitation is considered valid or legal and not a crime. Anyone who wishes to opt for a live-in relationship is free to choose whether he wants to live in a live-in relationship or to get married.
4. The child who is born during a live-in relationship has the right to property
Most of the couples who live together in a live-in relationship for a long time usually gives birth to the kid. Thus, the kids who are born during this phase of relationship have an equal right to the property of his mother and father.
5. A woman has the full right to ask for a share in his husband’s property after his death
If you are in a live-in relationship and in case your husband dies due to any reason, then the woman or the female partner can claim for a part of his husband’s property.
