6 Simple Tips to Remove Pimples Effectively

Published

on

Quite some time ago, youth pop icon Justin Bieber was seen flaunting his zits on his social media pages. He went a step ahead and made a video with the words’ Pimples are in’. Not only him but many Instagrammers and YouTubers from different parts of the world are apparently, promoting the positive acne movement.

The movement focuses on talking about skin problems on the public forums and doing away with the shame from discussing these issues and fighting them in public, and not trying to hide them in public.

Pimples and acne are universal and three out of every 4 people between the age of 11 and 30 years suffer from these. But it is a myth that you will not suffer from acne after 30 rather the chance that acne will haunt you even after 30 is pretty strong.

Kill Those Zits!

As per experts acne can affect in any age group, hormonal fluctuations can lead to pimples in any age. The other prominent factors affecting pimples are an erratic menstrual cycle, stress, stress, and use of oil-based skin and make-up products.

The importance to remove the pimples cannot be declined. Breakouts if not treated properly could leave permanent scars on your face and thus this could make you socially anxious and affect your overall well-being. However it is firstly important to know the reason of occurrence of pimples, and depending on the type of a pimple the treatment should be done.

Why do we get pimples?

Oil glands that exist under the skin produce an oily substance called sebum, they are connected to the pores on the skin through the follicles. Sebum produced by the glands carries the dead cells to the skin surface through follicles and pimples break out when these follicles get blocked and oil accumulates under the skin.

Skin cells and sebum get mixed together and facilitate breakouts. The situation gets aggravated by the presence of bacteria on the skin.

During puberty as the hormones change, sebaceous glands grow bigger and start to produce extra sebum, and this can clog the pores in a very stubborn manner.

What are the basic types of spots caused by pimples?

Pimples and acne develop not only on the face but also on chest and back. The common type of pimples are blackheads that have small black bump on the skin clogging the pores, whiteheads are yellow whitish bumps similar to blackhead.

Papules are tiny red bumps that are quite painful, pustules are papules with white tips in the center filled with pus, nodules are large, hard and painful pumps on the skin.

What should be the basic CTM routine to remove the pimples?

To remove acne or pimples one needs to take very good care of the skin. A little effort in the self-care will go a long way to deal with the skin. Taking good care of skin is essential nut picking or popping of zits should be strictly avoided as it could make the acne all the worse and lead to blemishes and scarring.

Following a sustainable skin care program is essential, patience is the key while dealing with the pimples.

1. Washing your face

The first step to remove pimples is to wash the face. Washing face twice a day is sufficient as washing too much of face can also lead to dryness of skin. Washing the face in the right way is also crucial as this will solve the problem half the way.

Improper cleaning of the face can leave the sweat, oil, and soap and this could lead to pimples or acne. The right way to wash face is as follows:

2. Use warm water

Tie your hair in the ponytail and wash the face with warm water. Hot water will dry out the skin and this could lead to extra secretion of oil. Warm water, on the other hand, can loosen the dirt in the pores.

3. Use a good cleanser

After you have washed the face with cleanser apply a gel-based cleanser and massage it gently on the face, moving from the center of the face, outwards.

Gently rub around the nose, forehead, jawline, hairline, and chin. These are the places where sweat, oil, and dirt gather the most. Do not scrub where there is a breakout.

4. Pat dry

Using a soft and clean towel pat softly on the face to dry the face. Do not rub the face as it could disturb the elasticity of the skin and near the eyes, you need to be extra gentle.

5. Time for toning

Do use the toners, after patting the face to dry it take a cotton ball, dip it in toner and clean your face with it. Apply moisturizer immediately after this so that the oil balance can be restored without any disturbance.

This step should be done twice every day, once in the morning and then in the night. Products that have benzoyl peroxide can be used as they are antibacterial, but before starting to use them consult a dermatologist.

6. Remove the cosmetics

Before you head to bed remove all traces of makeup from your face as this can increase the risk of acne and other skin allergies. After removing the makeup use a water-based moisturizer to hydrate the skin.

Popular Vaseline Uses

Vaseline, or petroleum jelly, is a by-product of the oil drilling process. We use it for more than 100 years. It was back in 1859 when a British chemist named Robert Augustus Chesebrough observed the skin healing properties of Vaseline for the first time. Since then, we’ve discovered more than 50 Vaseline uses. The question is, how many of them do you practice?

Take a look at all the Vaseline uses for your skin, overall beauty treatment, and home.

Vaseline for Skin

  • Use it as a facial moisturizer. One of the biggest benefits of Vaseline is that it keeps your skin hydrated. Because it does not clog pores, and it is a non-comedogenic, you can use it for moisturizing your face skin. It is best used as a night cream.
  • Prevent tanning streaks and patchy skin, rub Vaseline into trouble spots such as ankles, behind the knees, and on your hands.
  • Vaseline can be used for athlete’s foot, a common fungus issue. Vaseline will reduce water loss from the skin and form a hydrophobic battier so there is not so much sweat for the fungus to breed and grow.
  • One of the skin Vaseline uses is rubbing it on your skin to protect it against dirt and germs. This trick was used by miners on their cuts and bruises when Vaseline was discovered.
  • For your baby, you can prevent diaper rash with Vaseline, in the same way, you use sudocrem.
  • Soothe your chapped hands by applying Vaseline to the back of chapped hands. This will protect them against wind and cold.

  • Prepare e home remedy for your dry feet and cracked heels. Slather your feet in petroleum jelly and then put on a pair of socks. Being that your socks will not be the same, use an old pair of socks.
  • If your eyebrows need little control, dab a little on each brow to keep them in line.
  • You can use petroleum jelly as a cheap cheek highlighter. Apply a minuscule amount for a glowing look.
  • Use Vaseline as an eyelash glue remover. No more need of pulling out your real lashes when you are trying to yank off particularly stubborn false lashes. Vaseline can help you unstuck the glue by dabbing some on your finger and rubbing the offending lashes.
  • Prevent dye staining by dabbing a line of jelly across your forehead. Be careful not to get it into your hair.
  • You can use Vaseline around your cuticles to gently rub them and stop them feeling sore. Vaseline will also stop further damage and speed up the healing process of your cuticles.
  • For your very own Vaseline lip therapy, use it as a base, and mix it with food coloring. You can also try eyeshadow, an old lipstick, and anything else. Be creative.
  • Prevent lipstick from getting on your teeth by dotting blob of petroleum jelly on your front teeth.
  • For your very own Vaseline body scrub, add sea salt to petroleum jelly and that is it. Your skin will feel silky smooth after the treatment. You will also add some much-needed glow and shine.
  • Among the beauty Vaseline uses, you can use the product to paint fingernails and toenails. Use a cotton bud to trace around the cuticles before putting manicure or pedicure. This will moisturize your skin, but also improve the look of your manicure and pedicure.
  • Keep your lashes moisturized by adding a small dab to both lashes. Do it at night, and your lashes will be strong and soft.
  • You can keep the pleasant odor of your perfume for longer by applying a blob of Vaseline to your wrists before spritzing perfume.
  • Keep your elbows soft by rubbing Vaseline on the elbows. This is among the tried and tested Vaseline uses that keep your troublesome dry spot baby soft.
  • You can hide split ends until the next trimming by dabbing little Vaseline to any rogue split end. This will keep them under wraps.
  • If you haven’t worn any earrings in a while, you can easily insert them into your pierced lobes by adding petroleum jelly to the lobes. This will help the earrings go through the lobes easily and without any discomfort.
  • Protect your nose from getting red and sore when you are battling cold by dabbing Vaseline on the end of your nose every few hours.
  • Using Vaseline you can easily remove chewing gum from your hair. If the gum sticks in your hair, and you do not want to trim or cut your hair, just rub some Vaseline on the gum and remove it afterward.
  • The most common of Vaseline uses for the body is using the product as a lubricant. You can lube up pretty much anything, be it on your body, or in your home

  • Keep your Halloween pumpkins looking fresh by rubbing Vaseline into the cut or carved edges of the pumpkin. This will slow down the rotting process.
  • Repair minor scratches and watermarks on wooden surfaces. All you have to do is coat them with petroleum jelly, leave it for 24 hours, and then work it into the wood and rub away any excess oil.
  • Prevent car or van doors that are not used often from sticking. They are subject to freezing conditions. Rub Vaseline around the rubber seal to prevent it. You can do the same trick with your fridge and freezer seals.
  • Restore old leather products by applying a coat of petroleum jelly, and then massaging it. Once you are done, remove any excess oil.
  • Prevent battery corrosion of car batteries. Start by disconnecting car battery terminals, and then giving them a clean with a wire brush. Finish off by reconnecting and smear with Vaseline to create a barrier that will prevent corrosion.
  • Remove things that are stuck, for example, a ring on a finger or a bracelet not budging from a wrist. Add some Vaseline to create a more slick and slippery surface.
  • If you have any makeup stains on clothes, you can remove by blotting petroleum jelly onto the stain. Wash in the machine as usual afterward.
  • One of the popular Vaseline uses in your home is helping with toilet problems. If you suffer from piles/hemorrhoids or anal fissures, rub some Vaseline around your bottom to provide more slick runway. Now, this will not remove the pain from going to the toilet, but it will make it easier for you to go to the toilet.
  • If you need to shine your shoes, but you do not want to spend much money, go with petroleum jelly. Dab some Vaseline on your leather shoes or handbags to give them a brand new shine.
  • Combine Vaseline and salt, and then rub the solution around the edges of your flower pots. This will keep slimy snails and slugs away.
