Chinese New Year Celebrations
Hong Kong: Huge street parties and parades are held in Hong Kong in order to ring in the new year. Another thing they do is hold the Well-Wishing Festival. People visit the Lam Tsuen, which is the famous shrine featuring the Wishing Trees, and where the Wishing Lanterns Lighting Ceremony is held.

Singapore:
The River Hong Bao Carnival is a major fair held at the Marina Promenade in Singapore. Malaysia:
On the 15th day of Chinese New Year in Malaysia, people celebrate Chap Goh Meh, which is basically a form of Valentine’s Day. What happens during this is unmarried women go to any lakes or rivers and throw tangerines; it’s a way for them to wish to have a good partner soon.
USA:
In the United States, parades and fireworks displays are very common, particularly in the cities with a rather large Chinese population. For example, in both San Francisco and Chicago, along ‘dragon’ is paraded through the city streets as part of the celebrations. One can also attend cultural events and exhibitions.
