The temple was originally opened by the painter, Toru Kaya with the theme of his favourite cat and we all are absolutely loving the concept. The place is also full of statues and drawings that feature the cat. If you want to buy those you can even buy them inside the temple shop itself which is popularly known as “Littlefootmark Ren.”

The shrine has 7 cats who are working in the temple in which Koyuki, Ren, Konatsu and Chicchi are the females among them Waka, Chin, Aruji are the males. Among all the cats, Koyuki is the famous one. She has a grumpy face but not to forget other ones too. They all are worth playing and watching because they are adorable.
