Face Scrub for Men: An Essential Treatment!

Published

on

No, the face scrub is not reserved for women! We, too, have the right to take care of our skin to make our complexion radiant and seductive. For this, a scrub will be welcome in the shelf of your bathroom, and it will be a valuable use…

What to do after a scrub?

1- What is a face scrub?

Also known as an exfoliate, the scrub is neither more nor less than a gel that has the ability to remove all the dead cells, impurities and excess sebum of your skin. You should know that the skin is in constant danger when you point the nose outside. The air itself, a vector of pollution, is a source of aggression for your skin! That’s why it’s a sensitive fabric that needs to be protected.

The face scrub is a very good addition to your daily cleansing gel. It does pretty much the same job, but more in-depth and with better action on your pores.

2- What is a scrub for the face?

In the composition of the men’s exfoliator, there is first a base that is usually a moisturizer to which are added exfoliating ingredients.

Then, the secondary ingredients can vary but it is most often small abrasive grains that act on your skin by a friction system. Most of the time, these grains are composed of salt or sodium bicarbonate.

3- Why use a face scrub for men?

In the past, scrubs and other cosmetic products were reserved for women … a little paradoxical, in a sense, because it turns out that men’s skin needs even more care.

Eh yes! We men have thicker skin that secretes more sebum. As a result, it breaks down faster and easier. Of course, shaving does not help and aggravates irritation problems.

Whether you have sensitive skin or not at all, the scrub will have a restorative effect on your skin that you will notice fairly quickly. What are the effects of the scrub? It essentially exfoliates the skin that is to say to eliminate the dead cells that cover the superficial layer of your epidermis.

4- For what types of skin?

There are scrubs for all skin types: everyone will find something! Choose the product for you, otherwise, it may not produce any effect even if it is a scrub of the best quality possible.

For fragile and sensitive skin, we recommend a scrub without grains. This product will purify your skin without hurting it since there will be no grains to roll and rub against your skin.

Dry skin, easily irritable, will rather need a gel exfoliating and soft.

The traditional grain scrubs are perfect for mixed and normal skin.

Finally, it is appropriate to reserve a special treatment for oily skin. Generating more sebum and therefore more impurities than all other types of skin, oily skin needs a scrub particularly rich in grains to be thoroughly cleaned. The application of a green clay scrub two to three times a week seems to be the ideal method.

5- What results?

As we mentioned above, the main function of the scrub is to neutralize the dead skin cells. This product contributes to cell renewal, which is why you will get a fresh and radiant complexion through regular use.

6- How often do you scrub your face?

A scrub will be effective only if you use it at an appropriate frequency. For each skin its type of use:

A scrub will be effective only if you use it at an appropriate frequency. For each skin its type of use:

  • for thick and oily skin, once or twice a week
  • for normal skin and for combination skin once a week
  • for dehydrated skin, once a week or once every 15 days
  • for fine and/or sensitive skin, once or twice a month

What to do after a scrub?

The little secret to knowing to bring your skin to its maximum potential is to apply a moisturizer after each scrub. This small gesture seemingly insignificant will restore the protective film of your skin: the skin of your face will find all its protective capabilities!

Are you ready to pamper your skin properly? Whatever the texture of your skin, it is up to you to find the face scrub you need to maintain your complexion to its best colour! A good choice of product, a little rigor in the frequency of application and you will be the most beautiful gentlemen.

And then … better to have smooth skin in the face than the police on the buttocks! (Ok, I’m going out)

Popular Vaseline Uses

Vaseline, or petroleum jelly, is a by-product of the oil drilling process. We use it for more than 100 years. It was back in 1859 when a British chemist named Robert Augustus Chesebrough observed the skin healing properties of Vaseline for the first time. Since then, we’ve discovered more than 50 Vaseline uses. The question is, how many of them do you practice?

Take a look at all the Vaseline uses for your skin, overall beauty treatment, and home.

Vaseline for Skin

  • Use it as a facial moisturizer. One of the biggest benefits of Vaseline is that it keeps your skin hydrated. Because it does not clog pores, and it is a non-comedogenic, you can use it for moisturizing your face skin. It is best used as a night cream.
  • Prevent tanning streaks and patchy skin, rub Vaseline into trouble spots such as ankles, behind the knees, and on your hands.
  • Vaseline can be used for athlete’s foot, a common fungus issue. Vaseline will reduce water loss from the skin and form a hydrophobic battier so there is not so much sweat for the fungus to breed and grow.
  • One of the skin Vaseline uses is rubbing it on your skin to protect it against dirt and germs. This trick was used by miners on their cuts and bruises when Vaseline was discovered.
  • For your baby, you can prevent diaper rash with Vaseline, in the same way, you use sudocrem.
  • Soothe your chapped hands by applying Vaseline to the back of chapped hands. This will protect them against wind and cold.

  • Prepare e home remedy for your dry feet and cracked heels. Slather your feet in petroleum jelly and then put on a pair of socks. Being that your socks will not be the same, use an old pair of socks.
  • If your eyebrows need little control, dab a little on each brow to keep them in line.
  • You can use petroleum jelly as a cheap cheek highlighter. Apply a minuscule amount for a glowing look.
  • Use Vaseline as an eyelash glue remover. No more need of pulling out your real lashes when you are trying to yank off particularly stubborn false lashes. Vaseline can help you unstuck the glue by dabbing some on your finger and rubbing the offending lashes.
  • Prevent dye staining by dabbing a line of jelly across your forehead. Be careful not to get it into your hair.
  • You can use Vaseline around your cuticles to gently rub them and stop them feeling sore. Vaseline will also stop further damage and speed up the healing process of your cuticles.
  • For your very own Vaseline lip therapy, use it as a base, and mix it with food coloring. You can also try eyeshadow, an old lipstick, and anything else. Be creative.
  • Prevent lipstick from getting on your teeth by dotting blob of petroleum jelly on your front teeth.
  • For your very own Vaseline body scrub, add sea salt to petroleum jelly and that is it. Your skin will feel silky smooth after the treatment. You will also add some much-needed glow and shine.
  • Among the beauty Vaseline uses, you can use the product to paint fingernails and toenails. Use a cotton bud to trace around the cuticles before putting manicure or pedicure. This will moisturize your skin, but also improve the look of your manicure and pedicure.
  • Keep your lashes moisturized by adding a small dab to both lashes. Do it at night, and your lashes will be strong and soft.
  • You can keep the pleasant odor of your perfume for longer by applying a blob of Vaseline to your wrists before spritzing perfume.
  • Keep your elbows soft by rubbing Vaseline on the elbows. This is among the tried and tested Vaseline uses that keep your troublesome dry spot baby soft.
  • You can hide split ends until the next trimming by dabbing little Vaseline to any rogue split end. This will keep them under wraps.
  • If you haven’t worn any earrings in a while, you can easily insert them into your pierced lobes by adding petroleum jelly to the lobes. This will help the earrings go through the lobes easily and without any discomfort.
  • Protect your nose from getting red and sore when you are battling cold by dabbing Vaseline on the end of your nose every few hours.
  • Using Vaseline you can easily remove chewing gum from your hair. If the gum sticks in your hair, and you do not want to trim or cut your hair, just rub some Vaseline on the gum and remove it afterward.
  • The most common of Vaseline uses for the body is using the product as a lubricant. You can lube up pretty much anything, be it on your body, or in your home

  • Keep your Halloween pumpkins looking fresh by rubbing Vaseline into the cut or carved edges of the pumpkin. This will slow down the rotting process.
  • Repair minor scratches and watermarks on wooden surfaces. All you have to do is coat them with petroleum jelly, leave it for 24 hours, and then work it into the wood and rub away any excess oil.
  • Prevent car or van doors that are not used often from sticking. They are subject to freezing conditions. Rub Vaseline around the rubber seal to prevent it. You can do the same trick with your fridge and freezer seals.
  • Restore old leather products by applying a coat of petroleum jelly, and then massaging it. Once you are done, remove any excess oil.
  • Prevent battery corrosion of car batteries. Start by disconnecting car battery terminals, and then giving them a clean with a wire brush. Finish off by reconnecting and smear with Vaseline to create a barrier that will prevent corrosion.
  • Remove things that are stuck, for example, a ring on a finger or a bracelet not budging from a wrist. Add some Vaseline to create a more slick and slippery surface.
  • If you have any makeup stains on clothes, you can remove by blotting petroleum jelly onto the stain. Wash in the machine as usual afterward.
  • One of the popular Vaseline uses in your home is helping with toilet problems. If you suffer from piles/hemorrhoids or anal fissures, rub some Vaseline around your bottom to provide more slick runway. Now, this will not remove the pain from going to the toilet, but it will make it easier for you to go to the toilet.
  • If you need to shine your shoes, but you do not want to spend much money, go with petroleum jelly. Dab some Vaseline on your leather shoes or handbags to give them a brand new shine.
  • Combine Vaseline and salt, and then rub the solution around the edges of your flower pots. This will keep slimy snails and slugs away.
