The age-old saying, “an apple a day, keeps the doctor away”, is most commonly used and wished one. We dread going to the doctor and wish all that they are in the pink of their health so that the visit to the doctor can be avoided. Not only the mental and emotional trauma that it brings it also bites your pocket and not to forget the series of tests that come in the package to pinch your pocket. There is a term Latrophobia and is used to define the fear of doctors.

Therefore if you are amongst the people who fear a visit to the doctor and would want to stay away from the doctor visits there here are a few things that you should give up:

1. Placing the bag on the bed or chair

I think most of us are guilty of this. The bags are exposed to the outside world and can carry a lot of germs and this could get transferred on your bed and from there on to you thus making you fall sick.

Having coffee or for that matter any hot drink from the plastic cup. Even if the plastic cup is from the high-end outlet. Its so because the plastic has a compound called bisphenol A, and the quantity of this increases when the hot drink is poured in it.

High amounts of bisphenol A can lead to major health issues like poor focus, low energy levels, poor reproductive functions, and declined cell growth. Its better have hot drinks from metal cups or ceramic cups.

After the drinks have been canned they travel so distance to reach you and are stored in a number of warehouses where some zillions of germs sit on them.

Thus if you drink directly from the can the germs can enter your body and make you sick, therefore drink either from a straw (metallic and reusable ones) or by pouring it in the glass.

4. Not delegating your household work

If you solely take up the responsibility of all the household chores then it could negatively affect your health and make your blood pressure rise and make you the victim of unnecessary stress.

Thus delegate the work on other family members or outsource the help, so that you get some rest.

5. Artificial sugar in your diet

The zero calories diet coke or sugar-free desserts are simply marketing gimmicks are nowhere better than their original versions. On the contrary, they are more harmful and can cause a lot of health issues.

Stevia is the only alternative to sugar that is recommended, but this can have a laxative effect so should be used only if it suits you.

6. Google is not a certified doctor

Please do not make google your doctor as all the disease that is searched on google end in some form of cancer. The condition of the disease can be worsened is the symptoms and cures are searched here, rather visit the official doctor for better treatment.
