Bad habits are hard to get rid of especially among adults. If it is bad sleeping habits then it is harder to get rid of it, as most of us do not even realize that it is affecting the sleep. But sleep is essential as it ensures the physical, emotional and mental wellbeing of a person. Though most people invest in new mattresses they should also make sure to sleep invest enough time and effort to break the bad habits which are making it tougher for them to sleep through the night.

1. Using gadgets in bed

The latest inventions are a boon to mankind but they are also causing sleep disruptions due to inappropriate usage. You may be unable to get a full night’s sleep but using the best mattress in India can surely help. Sleep disruption is not because the mattress is not good enough but because people tend to use gadgets in bed as a way of relaxation. Texting, watching TV, using social media is commonly done by people before getting into bed. The blue light from these screens can disrupt your sleep.

Solution: Turn-off these devices or ban its entry in your bedroom. Avoid screen time a few hours before sleep and instead of watching videos, read a book or listen to soothing music which can help you fall asleep.

2. Late-night dinner

One of the biggest mistakes people do is eating a heavy dinner. Sleeping immediately after such a huge dinner will lead to heartburn and moreover, while the food is getting digested it can lead to sleep disruptions.

Solution: It is recommended that you have dinner early and allow at least a couple of hours time for the food to get digested. Also, avoid food that is salty, oily and spicy. Have a light dinner which can help you fall asleep easily.

Solution: Stress and anxiety are unavoidable, to relax, indulge in yoga, deep breathing exercises or things that help you to calm down as that can aid in peaceful sleep.
