Kia Seltos has finally landed on the shores of the Indian continent. The ones not aware of the car manufacturing company Kia, is a Korean company that is entering the Indian market through its mid-size SUV Seltos. Kia has diligently placed Seltos against its sister concern Hyundai Creta. Kia Seltos has BS-VI compliant engines that come with 6-speed manual gearbox having standard fit across all its variants. The car enters the market with 8 variants available in two trims- GT Line and Tech Line.
SUV Seltos is available in 3-variant engine option:
- 1.4lt T-GDI petrol engine with 140PS power and 242Nm torque
- 1.5lt petrol engine with 115PS power and 144Nm torque
- 1.5lt CRDI engine with 115PS power and 250Nm torque
There are 4 gearbox options of 6-speed MT, 7-speed DCT, 6-speed AT, and a CVT which are tuned accordingly with the engines.


The Exterior of Kia Seltos


Kia has produced Seltos with fine points which successfully distill striking SP concept, which can hold your attention in the right way. Seltos has a distinct face with a ‘Tiger-nose’ grille, stylish headlamps and a massive bumper giving it a fresh look for this car’s season. The chrome surrounding the grille gives it a smooth premium texture making it distinct. Full LED lights and indicators, ‘ice cube’ fog lights, and the strip running from headlights to the snout brilliantly accentuates Seltos’ width and look.
Kia Seltos stands confident on its 17-inch wheels where its contrast roof option gives it a more defined look. Seltos comes with a signature LED taillight, which helps differ the car from far away.

Seltos may not be as towering as its sister Creta; it definitely has an excellent road presence with its uniform body ratio. Kia Seltos is the 3rd car to feature UVO. The technology is e-sim based, which is directly connected to the car’s touchscreen. UVO offers 37 feature controls including live-navigation, remote engine start/stop, geo-fencing, panic notification, and more.
Kia Seltos has been priced aggressively against its competitors. All its variants range between 9.69 lac and 15.99 lac which brings it into the hearts of Indian customers.

The rolling out of BS-VI emission norms and mandatory car insurance plan has made the company follow a comprehensive after-sales service route. Kia is preparing itself against established giants in the Indian market. The company is expanding its after-sales service to provide a smooth customer experience.
