An expert business consultant is using her experience in rising from the bottom to the top to help other aspiring influencers, entrepreneurs and creatives achieve the same success.
Sharifah Hardie is CEO of X Roads TV, In The News PR, Co-Founder of the Powered By Purpose Tour, published author of And Here’s Your Box – From Laid Off to Loving Life, and is most well-known for her video series Ask Sharifah.
While she’s worked her way up to executive roles now, Ms. Hardie said her journey to the top “has been a very interesting one”.
“I wanted to be an employee with a guaranteed paycheck,” she said.
“I didn’t want to be an entrepreneur or work for myself. After being laid off too many times I realized I needed to take control of my career and my success.”
This was back in the 90s, and luckily Ms. Hardie was ahead of her time and had the knowledge and ability to launch her first website in 1994. She worked hard to learn everything she could about search engine optimization and marketing, and soon she had numerous people coming to her and asking how she’d done it.
“I had so many people asking me questions that I decided to start my own radio show – Ask Sharifah Radio – so I could answer all their questions,” Ms. Hardie said.
“And while it was wonderful that I knew a lot about the internet and was helping others, that didn’t translate into much income straight away. It was very difficult in the beginning trying to raise two children and maintain my life with very little money coming in.”
Thankfully Ms. Hardie’s story is one of success. Her innovative style, fresh ideas and ability to adapt to the ever-changing landscape of business, technology, entertainment, media, marketing and advertising has kept her at the top of her many games.
Now, she wants to give back to others trying to rise to the top of their games, and does so through her Ask Sharifah series.
For a very small fee businesses and individuals can be featured on Ask Sharifah and be promoted to her thousands of Facebook followers, on her website and over at X Roads TV.
“Video interviews are great as promotional tools,” she said.
“They can be used to promote books or events, they make for great intros, and they certainly stand out on social media. But above all, they show off your personality and allow you to let viewers know the ‘why’ behind your business.”
Ms. Hardie said being featured on Ask Sharifah has proved beneficial for businesses, influencers and entrepreneurs of all sizes and status.
“I’ve interviewed some up-and-coming entrepreneurs and business people as well as some of the most famous celebrities and top executives in the world,” she said.
“I’ve interviewed Patti LaBelle, Daphne Maxwell-Reid, Verizon Wireless, Wells Fargo, Dorian Gregory and Roscoe’s House of Chicken & Waffles. No business is too large or too small to be a guest.”
Ms. Hardie said she wanted to invite anyone interested in growing their business or brand to reach out to her over on her website http://www.AskSharifah.com so she can help others grow and achieve their own success just like she has.
