Miss Mexico Vanessa Ponce De Leon Crowned As Miss World 2018

Miss Mexico has been crowned as Miss World 2018 and here is a sneak peek in the event.

The wait is over, and after Manushi Chillar the beautiful Miss World 2017, crowned the glorious crown and title to Miss Mexico Venessa Ponce De Leon. She is Miss World for 2018.

As she entered the Top 5, she won the hearts unanimously by her very beautiful sparkling smile and the stunning off-shoulder ivory gown that had fine silver embellishments on it.

The show began with the performance of Donel, he performed to Bang like a drum. After this, the beauties arrived on the stage to introduce themselves and perform a small dance sequence from their country.

Miss India performed on the iconic songs of Deepika Padukone’s movie Om Shanti Om, Dhoom Tanna. This year there was a change as a diva from each continent will crown Miss World.

The event was not only about beauty but beauty with a purpose. The contestants will need to actively participate in humanitarian causes. Miss Nepal won the crown for Beauty With A Purpose.

Miss World | 2018 BEAUTY WITH A PURPOSE AWARD. . Following two rounds of careful deliberation; a panel of Miss World Judges, as well as Miss World delegates and staff, selected the project of Miss Nepal as the winner of the Beauty With A Purpose Award from among the 25 videos that were shortlisted. . This is the second win for Miss Nepal as she also won the Multimedia Challenge. The selection process for Beauty With A Purpose was held at the Moulin Rouge Theatre at the Mangrove Tree Resort World in Sanya, China on 3 December. . Julia Morley, while introducing the 25 videos, explained that this was a most difficult task having to choose from many amazing BWAP Projects. The Chair and CEO for Miss World also congratulated all the delegates and complemented them on the amazing work they are doing in their home countries. . The judges shortlisted 13 girls, who made entry to Top 30. The Top 30 contestants were: the Miss People’s Republic of China. Cook Islands, Belarus, Belgium, Northern Island, Miss Russia, Miss Scotland, Miss Nigeria, Miss South Africa, Miss Panama, Miss Barbados, Miss Jamaica, Miss Nepal, Miss Japan, Miss USA, Miss Mauritius, Miss Venezuela, Miss Bangladesh, Miss Chile, Miss Malaysia, Miss India, Miss Singapore, Miss Thailand, Miss Mexico, Miss Uganda.

From Europe, Miss Belarus, Miss France and Miss Scotland made it to the Top 12. From the Carribean Miss Jamaica and Miss Martinique who made it to the Top 12.  Miss Mexico and Miss Panama made it to the Top 12 from Americas.

Miss Mauritius, Miss Uganda are all set to enter the Top 12 of the competition. Making it to the Top 12 from Asia and Oceania are Miss Nepal, Miss New Zealand, Miss Thailand.
