We all know how harmful plastic is and what consequences it can have on our health and environment? Though we know still most of us are not making use of paper bags or something which is eco-friendly. Thankfully, many companies, organizations, and even people are fighting to tackle the issue of the plastic problem. Even there is one company namely, Tenith Innovations which has replaced single-use plastics with Banana leaf. They are using them for everyday uses.
Now let me take you through where Banana leaf is used by most of the people
On of the Twitter user, @Savi_IFS has shared some pictures of banana leaves being used as bowls and as a food container. Those pictures have gone viral. We are not sure whether the image is from Thailand or anywhere else? But this image has banana leaves from different places including India.

People are very much impressed by these banana leaves and they wanted to contact the suppliers of such containers. To this, one person tweeted a picture of using banana leaves to wrap food items with a caption, ‘We use it for our packaging and delivery through the flight to ITC Hotel in Kolkata from Guwahati’.
Even a local vendor, KirenRijiju from north-east was witnessed wrapping a fish in a banana leaf.
“PM @narendramodi has told us not to use plastics so we are using local leaves because plastics are no more available”

Plucking banana leaves isn’t harming the habitat
Now you must be thinking that plucking so many leaves from the trees is not a good idea as we are using it for our personal uses. Then let me tell you, the leaves are plucked in such a way that they eventually regenerate easily. So, there is no destruction caused to natural life. In this way, we are saving the environment, our health, and habitat too. Isn’t that amazing?
People are taking baby steps to stop the use of plastic
What matters the most is the change that is required to bring change in this world. Though baby steps are happening in and out. I am sure it will surely help motivate others too and join the revolution of the ‘complete plastic ban’.
