‘Hostels are fun’. It’s like a roller coaster ride to those who have spent most of their time living in either PGs or hostels. We don’t even realize how it naturally becomes our second home after our parent’s home. Whatever time we spent, friends we make and the kind of experience we witness living at hostels cannot be shared in words.
Staying in the hostel slowly becomes your life for which you become addicted to. It is the place where you cherish some beautiful moments with your lovey-dovey friends within the four walls of the building for the rest of your life.

Let me relieve some of your beautiful hostel life memories that you would be able to relate to.
1. Maggi becomes your all-time survivor
A hosteller can better understand the importance of Maggi more than anything else. We can say that it is our lifeline. It is the only thing that satisfies our midnight hunger cravings. We become sort of experts in cooking Maggi while being in a hostel and we are proud to say that.
2. You Become Chai-holics
Tea is the only beverage that we rely on during the hostel days. You become such a tea lover that you are familiar with almost all the famous tea points around your hostel.
3. You believe in partying all night
Literally, we don’t even realize how “we work hard and party harder” becomes our all-time favourite party anthem. All night, playing those amplifiers on top of the voice, dancing our shoes on just like there is no tomorrow.
4. You become insomniac
At the hostel, you stay with so many people around you that you can’t even think of peaceful sleep. I mean, how you can sleep when you have friends all over at your place and they feel like partying for no reason.
And, then we end up sleeping the next day during our lectures. Haha! That’s true! Most of us have experienced this beautiful feeling when we enjoyed our hostel life.
5. Loose pajamas and flip flops become your new dress code
No one literally cares what you are wearing. You feel most comfortable in your loose pajamas, camisoles and those funky panda flip flops. This becomes our favourite dress code that we do not bother wearing in college too.
6. You believe in “Sab Moh Maya Hai” when running short of cash
Common everyone knows that you don’t have that much to spend on these luxury shit knowing the condition of your purse at the month end. Maggi, cold drinks, milk and cakes become a kind of luxury to you at that time.
7. Wi-Fi becomes your everything after Maggi
A hosteller only knows the importance of Maggi and ya next thing, WI-FI without which we can’t live even a single day. Whenever your loved ones (Your BFFs roommates) are not around, you rely completely on WI-Fi for watching your favourite series online or calling your roomies when you are home alone.
I know you must be feeling a lot better and quite nostalgic after reading this. Hostel life makes us learn so much that we can never have this kind of experience anywhere else.
