Amber Heard has dumped the attorney who defended her in her unsuccessful defamation trial with Johnny Depp as she now tries to appeal the verdict.
Elaine Bredehoft, who represented the Aquaman actress in the six-week defamation trial, has parted ways with Heard. Attorney David L. Axelrod and Jay Ward Brown, who represented The New York Times earlier this year in a defamation lawsuit against 2008 vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, will take over as the appeal proceeds.
Win or lose it wasn’t about the money, Heard’s attorney says
According to Elaine Bredehoft, who is one of Amber Heard’s lawyers, her client is not asking for the $100 million she sued his ex-husband for, she said that it was all about sending a message to the actor who plays Jack Sparrow.
It seems that If you sue me for one, I will sue you for two “Johnny Depp sued for $50 million, and we sent a message back saying, ‘Fine, then we’re gonna sue for $100 million because look what you did to her.’ We’re not asking you to give $100 million,” lawyer Elaine Bredehoft told the jury when she addressed compensation. “We’re asking you to just look at the damages in this case and just be fair and reasonable in whatever you determine.”

Who Was Amber Heard’s Lawyer Elaine Bradehoft?
Lawyers and attorneys are pretty popular professions. However, a lot of people still don’t know what they do. Yes, they defend people in court, but their roles go beyond that.
There are different types of lawyers for different things. Most defend clients in court, while others help with counsel and research. It takes several years of college to become an attorney, and even then success becomes a failure. That’s what makes Elaine’s resume so impressive.
Elaine has been an attorney for a long time. For decades people saw her as one of the best attorneys in the D.C/Maryland/Virginia area, also known as the DMV. While she represents all people from that area, and the entire country, her true domain is in Virginia.
Where Is Elaine Bradehoft Currently At Now That The Heard-Depp Trial Is Over?
Elaine has purposefully kept her life private since the end of the trial. However, her fame from it still affects her to this day.
Beyond representing Amber throughout the actual trial, Elaine went viral a few times for various things. Afterwards, she took interviews with outlets such as CBS and Today. The interviewers on those shows didn’t go soft by any means, hitting her with hardball question after hardball question.
