In Hogwarts Legacy, A Disillusionment Chest may be Unlocked in A Few Different Ways
The players of Hogwarts Legacy will undoubtedly come across odd treasure boxes with an eye upon them. Anyone in plain sight will be unable to access one of these Disillusionment Chests. Invisibility would seem to be the obvious choice here. Before the effect wears off, you may open the chest by popping it if you can temporarily hide from plain sight.
The most straightforward way to hide is to use a Disillusionment Charm, which does exactly what it says on the tin: it makes you invisible. However, in Hogwarts Legacy, it does not really render you undetectable. Just like a chameleon, you’ll be able to blend in with your surroundings. If you use this magic, you should have more than enough time to get the chest open and leave.
Another option is to use an Invisibility Potion, if you have one or can produce one, to sneak up on the guards and open the boxes. The game’s demo featured an Invisibility Potion in the Room of Requirements, suggesting that such potions may be found or crafted by players.
The one and only negative to this potion is that its effects don’t last very long. If you want to drink the potion, become invisible, and collect the chest’s contents before the effect wears off, you’ll need to be as near to the chest as possible as you do so. No key to the Disillusionment Chest will work if this happens.
The availability of the evil spell Conjunctivitis Curse in Hogwarts Legacy has not been verified, but if it is included, it will provide players another tool in their arsenal for fooling their opponents and opening the Disillusionment Chest. This particular curse causes irritation to the eyes, which causes them to close. Casting it on the chest’s eye will allow you to steal all of its contents before the curse wears off.
