Last Saturday, three men allegedly killed Atiq Ahmed and his brother, Ashraf, in Prayagraj just to become popular in crime. The Uttar Pradesh Police arrested all three assailants after they shot dead Atiq Ahmed, a gangster turned politician.
The Murder of Atiq Ahmed & His Brother
Atiq Ahmed is a gangster turned politician whose son, Asad, was killed in Jhansi due to an encounter. After Asad’s death, Atiq Ahmed and his brother, Ashraf, were killed by three men in Prayagraj, which created many controversies. After this incident, the U.P police officials started securing Prayagraj and strengthened the security to protect locals.
The three who killed the gangsters told police that they did such murders just to get publicity and to become Don in the crime world. The two persons’ names are already in the police records in the U.P state.
Three Killers and Neighbors Report
It was such a bold act what the three persons did to kill Atiq and Ashraf, as it was the point-blank shooting of two gangsters. Soon after this incident, they were taken to Prayagraj Hospital for a medical check-up. The 3 killers are Lavlesh Tiwari (22), Mohit alias Sunny (23), Arun Maurya (18).
All three were from places like Banda, Hamirpur, and Kasganj, respectively. All three got arrested alongside Ahmed Ahmed Brothers by the U.P police officials.
During the incident, Tiwari also got injured due to cross-firing. Furthermore, a police officer got hurt in this incident. One of the Banda residents even said that Tiwari is also a drug addict in addition to a murderer.
The same resident told several stories about Tiwari and his family. According to him, his family runs a simple life, and Tiwari has two brothers who are priests. Also, one of his brothers is still studying, but Tiwari is different from his brothers. He is totally into the crime world and went to jail several times. Also, for an eve-teasing crime, he went to jail. He only focused on becoming a big name in the crime world.
Coming to the next murderer, Mohit, one of his neighbors, told some facts about him to the police. Firstly, he was a Kurara resident who was normal during his childhood days. Soon after going to jail after a brawl, his attitude changed a lot, and thus he finally entered the world of crime. He left Kurara and was serving his sentence in jail for about a year.
Then, in Kasganj, this news shook the neighbors of Arun Maurya. His parents were no more, and he has two brothers doing the scrap business in Delhi. No one knew about Arun Maurya in his village, as he left the village a year ago.
So, the police officials charged the three murderers under the Arms Act and Attempted to Murder section. At the site of the shooting, police somehow recovered two firearms. Thus, it is clear that these three did to make a name and get some identity in the World of Crime.
