1. Window soundproof 

The most easiest thing to soundproof in a room is windows. In case you are just starting to soundproof a room start with windows. Remember windows is the easiest place to leak the noise. Windows easily allow outside noise to enter into a home. So soundproofing this part of the room is essential. The best way to soundproof windows is by handing heavy curtains.

In fact, curtains made of thick material or heavy drapes are best way to block outside noise. In addition to hanging of curtains make sure to seal the borders of the windows. Make sure to use effective adhesive to seal the borders of the window to properly soundproof them.

2. Door soundproofing 

The next part of the room that you can easily soundproof is doors. Doors are excellent way to cancel the outside noise. Shutting a room door is the best way to keep the noise to minimum and also to avoid entering of outside noise. 

The best way to soundproof a room or in this case door is through buying a soundproof door. Tough such doors are costly it works efficiently. On the other hand, you can also save money by buying a sturdy hardwood door and soundproofing the edges. Door sweeps, stoppers and sealing the edges are best way to soundproof a door. Finally, adding acoustic foam on the door is the best way to block the outside noise.

3. Soundproofing floors and walls

Floor soundproof of a room is simple; it can be done by adding gym mats and rugs. In addition to this, the best way to soundproof the floor to avoid creaky noise is by covering it with tiles. Finally, an underlayment is the best way to cancel noise on a hardwood floor.

On the other hand, learning soundproof techniques is not complete without knowing how to soundproof the walls. Soundproofing a wall is the most labor intensive work. Yet it can be done if planned properly. Using heavy furniture is the easiest way to soundproof the walls. Place cupboards or heavy furniture that can cover that wall which is allowing the noise to enter. The heavy mass of the furniture is the excellent way to block the noise.

Apart from this, you can also soundproof the wall by adding acoustic wall paneling. However, in order to add the wall paneling you need professional help. Or at least you need previous experience of handling renovation projects around the home. Finally, one other way to deal with minor issue of wall soundproofing is by using sealants. Cover any minor cracks and holes in the wall by using an adhesive acoustical sealant.
