In fact, Malik had once thought of leaving the game midway, however, when one of his friends left he said to himself that he cannot leave as well. So that was the reason he was forced to do the task.
However, later on, Sunny was feeling glad that he did it. According to him, it was not triggering but it was for lack of a better term. In other words, crossing that big bumper, made things smooth in the latter part of the show. Malik had never imagined that he had this side of himself within him who loved to face challenges.
