“Real Housewives of Orange County” star Meghan King accused her ex-husband. Jim Edmonds is using ‘coercive control’ amid their ongoing custody drama. On Wednesday (Feb. 16), the 38-year-old star took to her Instagram stories to share her painful moments. And how her husband falsely accused her of keeping the children away from him.
“Nobody really talks about coercive control and the after-effects of divorce,” King expressed while wiping away tears. “People say, ‘It’ll get better in time. It’ll get better with time.’ It’s been three years.”
She continued in her IG stories, “When? What time do I have to wait? The lawyers told me that. My parental coordinator, everyone told me that. It’s not better. It’s worse.” Per the Women’s Aid website, coercive control refers to “an act or a pattern of acts of assault, threats, humiliation and intimidation or other abuse that is used to harm, punish, or frighten their victim.”

The custody battle has gone so much that the ex-couple started dragging their kids’ names. Jim revealed previously on a podcast that King “exaggerated their 4-year-old son Hart’s cerebral palsy diagnosis” so fans could “relate” to her.
