For all the survival shows enthusiasts, Netflix is coming up with a new series that will suit your taste. The streaming platform has dropped the trailer for its upcoming non-scripted show. ‘Outlast’ in which we will see 16 contestants battling to survive in the Alaskan wilderness.
Therefore, if they succeed, they take home prize money of $1 million. However, there is a twist: the participants must be a part of a team to win the competition and can not do it alone. Read on to watch the trailer and know more about the show.
Outlast Trailer: 16 Contestants’ Survival Skills Put to Test
The trailer shows how hard the people who lost their way in the Alaskan wilderness will have to work to survive. Moreover, the contestants will have to deal with everything, from bad weather to severe hunger. The rule says, “You have to work together to survive, or you’ll go home with nothing.”
Then we see people work together against each other. A contestant says, “I’m tired, I’m cold, I’m wet, and I’m hungry.” A woman can also be heard saying, “Nothing will be perfect. I can’t make it without you.” “If they had the chance, they would cut our throats,” says another contestant.
We will get to see Some people shooting flares, which could mean they are giving up on the game. The first episode of Outlast will air on Netflix on March 10. The show will have eight episodes that are each about 45 minutes long. All eight episodes will be released at the same time. Watch the trailer down below.
How does Outlast work?
All 16 players are dropped by parachute in the middle of the Alaskan wilderness during the fall. In other words, right when the threat of rain, freezing temperatures and bears becomes more real as winter draws closer. After they arrive, the players learn that they won’t be competing on their own. Instead, they’ll need to split up into four different teams. Also each team has to set up camp in a different location. Though each individual has a strong set of survival skills. They’re required to work together as a team to win the million-dollar prize.
The Winner will Take Home $1 Million
For the competition, “16 lone wolves” will be split into four groups and sent into the Alaskan wilderness. Things would be harder because the game takes place in the Fall. The weather is cold and there is a good chance of rain in the area.
Besides that the show organisation set up the camps for the four teams in different places. Also the team members will have to work together if they want to win the $1 million prize. They can also switch teams at any time. Moreover It will lead to a lot of betrayals, some strange alliances, and a constantly changing set of relationships.
