He is one of the most popular names in the world of spine-chilling murders. Yes, he is none other than the American convicted criminal who is known to be the man behind the Riverview Murders in 2018. As per the sources, O’Neal killed his girlfriend who was 33-year-old Kenyatta Barron.
In addition, he also beat his 9-year-old daughter, Ron’Niveya O’Neal to death with an axe. Well, his bloodthirsty nature was not yet satisfied and O’Neal stabbed his 8-year-old son Ronnie IV.
Needless to say, this almost killed him but it was as if God’s grace saved him. However, O’neal claimed on trial that all these accusations were false and he had nothing to do with them. According to him, the authorities had actually set him up and he was a victim in it.
How was His Early Life?
O’Neal was born on 27 July 1989 in Florida, in the United States. There he is 35 years old as of now. We came to know from our research that he did not know his biological father when he was young but he knew him when he became an adult. So it was his stepfather who brought him up along with his brother Alonso Kelley.
Well, the reason why O’Neal turned out to be a criminal was because of a childhood trauma that he suffered when he was very young. As per the sources, he went through sexual abuse at the hands of his extended relatives when he was only five years old. Sadly, his parents did not pay much attention to it and he did not receive any proper treatment. This naturally traumatized him to a great extent.
As far as his educational qualifications are concerned, O’Neal went on to study at Easy Bay High School. This was a public school where he played football. In addition, he also took part in the Reserve Officer Training Corps.
This was a college program that the colleges and universities offered. It prepared young adults to become officers in the US Military. So despite all the challenges, Ronnie O’Neal III graduated from high school.
After this, he tried his hand at the United States Marine Corps, however, he failed in the entrance exam many times. Furthermore, O’Neal also started writing songs and performing in a hip-hop duo.
Who are His Wife & Children?
After reading the reports of some of the leading newspapers we come to know that O’Neal is not married but he has two children. So it is probably the kids of her girlfriend Kenyatta Baron. They used to live in Riverview in Hillsborough County, Florida.
The couple welcomed their first child, a daughter in 2009. However, she was born with certain health defects due to which she had cerebral palsy and autism and could not speak. Therefore, she had to use a wheelchair and sign language to communicate with others. It was in 2011 when O’Neal and Baron welcomed their second child, a son.
However, Kenyatta filed a paternity petition in the family court to decide her son’s biological father. Ultimately, after the DNA test, Ronnie could easily prove that he was his son’s biological
Father. It was 2016, the couple started living apart. As a result, O’Neal III had a new girlfriend. He also had another son with her.
What Had Actually Taken Place?
The story begins on 18 March 2018 in Riverview, Florida after the couple started living apart from each other. At this time, the Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from an unknown woman. In the call, the dispatcher could only hear an unidentified male voice screaming the words Allah Akbar.
After eight minutes, the man in the first 911 call makes a second call. At this time, he claims that white demons attacked him. He also accused a woman of trying to kill him and that the woman had just killed her. Through this, he actually described the victim’s daughter. The caller ultimately gave the dispatcher his address.
When the police came to the scene, they found a 33-year-old woman, Kenyatta Barron, who was lying unconscious. Furthermore, they also found a 9-year-old girl, Ron’Niveya O’Neal, beaten to death with a hatchet and a 7-year-old boy, O’Neal IV, stabbed and critically wounded.
The police made these observations on the basis of their post-mortem reports. Also, Ronnie IV had burns over his body. The cause of the fire might have been his father.
In June 2021, the court found Ronnie III guilty of two counts of first-degree murder. As a result, his penalty was three life sentences without the possibility of parole.
