A recipe for Mexican-style crispy potato tacos

Tacos Dorados Mexicanos are a delicious and simple dish for any occasion. Check out the recipe below

Here’s what you’ll need

  • 8 corn tortillas.
  • ½ pound of cooked ground beef,
  • 1 teaspoon of chili powder.
  • ½ teaspoon of garlic powder.
  • ½ teaspoon of onion powder.
  • ¼ teaspoon of cumin.
  • ¼ teaspoon of oregano.

And for the toppings:

  • 1 cup of shredded cheese
  • 1 cup of sour cream, salsa
  • 1 cup of chopped lettuce.
  • Oil: Enough to cover the bottom of a large skillet.

Follow these directions

  1. Heat the skillet over medium-high heat and add the oil.
  2. Place a tortilla in the skillet and cook for 1 minute on each side, until golden brown and crispy.
  3. Remove the tortilla and place it on a plate lined with paper towels. Repeat this process for the remaining tortillas.
  4. When all the tortillas are cooked, spread the cooked ground beef onto each tortilla and sprinkle the cheese over each one.
  5. Roll the tacos up and place them back in the skillet.
  6. Fry them for 1-2 minutes, until they are golden and crispy. Serve the tacos with the salsa, sour cream and lettuce.

  • For extra flavor and texture, you can add additional ingredients such as: chopped tomatoes, jalapeños, black beans, refried beans, guacamole and onions.
  • You can also top the tacos with cilantro and lime juice for a zesty flavor.
