2. Post-Church Activities

Even though you might want to skip out on these extracurricular, try your best to get involved with some of them. Your newly found friends may be heading to a local restaurant for lunch in order to decompress after servicing. This is a great opportunity to continue developing your rapport with these groups.

Or you could also be the one to plan said lunch after service has been completed. After everyone has become familiar with you, send an invite to a few churchgoers. The more opportunities you take to build trust, the better off you will be for long-term servicing!

3. Religious Donations

Going to the church is a great way to showcase your dedication to your faith. Another excellent way to showcase your commitment is by making a small donation in the name of the religion. Generally speaking, these donations can be made during or after the actual servicing.

While you don’t have to make any enormous monetary contribution, any amount will help. Your church may decide to take all of the donations made to a local charity afterwards. Not only does this demonstrate the viability of faith-based contributions, but you will also feel great as well!

4. Work on a Project

One of the best things about being involved within a new church is that there is always room for participation. As a result, try to find ways to spearhead a new project, which could help your community. These projects can come about in different scopes, but all benefit the localities by and large.

For instance, if you fancy yourself a good cook, you could conduct a potluck, in which you become the head chef. Or, you can even suggest something else entirely to the community. Projects that are done consistently, as well as passionately, will reflect better on your overall profile.

5. Pastor Rapport

Your pastor will be one of the go-to individuals to make contact with when you find your new church. Since they are one of the most important figures, you should take the lead in introductions in terms of overall servicing. Generally speaking, your pastor will always be open to learning about your religious background!

6. Group Bible Study

Once you have developed relationships with those similar in age to you, activities are bound to commence. One of the best excursions that you and your group can engage in is a bible study. Studying scripture is something that brings everyone together, along with allowing you to delve deeper into your faith.

7. Explore Different Areas

New churches will be so large that it can be challenging to meet different people at times. As a result, try to sit in various sanctuary seating in and around your church! You are guaranteed to find new people in your church’s community, which allows you to make new friends as well.

8. Be Yourself

You are always encouraged to be yourself when you get involved with the church. Never be afraid to express your ideas and thoughts to fellow churchgoers. More often than not, people will be glad that you are yourself, as someone who follows the faith. Speak clearly, and with confidence, and you will fit right in!
