Let’s talk about Brickfair 2023, which is the coolest LEGO show in Africa. It’s like a giant playground for LEGO fans. Menlyn Park and the Menlyn LEGO Certified Store teamed up to make this happen. Picture this: a whole bunch of LEGO lovers from the three best LEGO clubs in the country are coming together to show off their amazing LEGO creations. It’s like a LEGO festival, and it’s coming back to a place called Weston-super-Mare on November 5. This time, it’s happening at the Hutton Moor Leisure Centre, but it’s just for one day. That’s okay because it’s going to be an awesome day for the whole family.
At the event, there will be a lot of stuff for everyone who likes LEGO. There will be special areas for people who collect LEGO, grown-ups who love building with LEGO, and all kinds of LEGO fans. You can even join in on fun events, check out cool stalls, and maybe win prizes in LEGO competitions.
What’s even more exciting is that you can meet the super-talented people who create these fantastic LEGO structures. They’re like LEGO wizards, and you get to see their magic up close.
Here’s another cool thing: Beyond The Brick TV, which is a famous YouTube channel all about LEGO, is going to cover this Brickfair. It’s a big deal, and it’s the first time they’re doing it for Brickfair and Menlyn Park. This year, Brickfair is going to be even bigger and better than before. That’s because Menlyn Park is a gigantic shopping center. It’s the largest one in all of Africa, with more than 400 stores! It’s like a shopping paradise.
But wait, there’s more. Brickfair 2023 has something extra special for kids. They’re setting up a super fun area with a LEGO Play Pit, a LEGO Bowling Alley, a LEGO Wall, and even a giant Noughts-and-Crosses game. It’s going to be a blast for all the little LEGO fans.
And here’s the cherry on top: there will be a fantastic Robotics installation by the WRO. The WRO, or World Robot Olympiad, is a big worldwide competition where young people build and program robots. Guess what they use? LEGO Mindstorms! It’s going to be mind-blowing.
The Brickfair fun starts on October 28 and goes on until October 29, 2023. You can find it on the Ground Floor. Just drive in from Garsfontein Road, park on level 3 of the Yellow parking, and enter through Entrance 12. Easy peasy!
The best part? It’s free! You can go there with your family from 9 in the morning until 5 in the evening on both days. And if you’re a shopper, you’ll get double reward points at the LEGO Certified Store during the weekend of the event. Sounds awesome, right?
