Amal Clooney’s twins know that when their dad goes to work, he’s likely to get wet! George Clooney is sharing insights about his children! The 62-year-old actor and director is the father of six-year-old twins, Ella and Alexander, whom he welcomed in June 2017 with his wife Amal.
At the LA premiere of his new movie “The Boys in the Boat” on Monday (December 11), the actor shared what his children believe he does for work. He told ET that his children think he only plays in the water. He referred to a movie he did a couple of years ago called ‘Midnight Sky,’ where he had to shoot scenes in a tank, and when they came to visit, they assumed he swam because of the tank set. He added that they believe he is swimming whenever he mentions going to work.
This new film is based on Daniel James Brown’s book, delves into the University of Washington rowing team’s journey to the 1936 Olympics for the gold. Clooney, the film’s director, credited Brown for the compelling narrative originating from Joe Rantz, Brown’s neighbour. When asked about Amal’s role, Clooney humorously quipped about her directing with a British flair. Although she wasn’t involved in the film, Amal’s impactful presence was evident on the red carpet.
Jokingly, the proud husband expressed feeling “slighted” by the attention Amal, a human rights lawyer, consistently receives. He humorously shared an incident where he had to introduce himself as ‘Amal Clooney’s husband’ at a Women in Film event, highlighting the impact of his wife’s prominent status on his public identity.
