On Tuesday, the Los Angeles Police Department shared a press release about the unfortunate death of the popular rapper. According to that, around 11:30 pm, the Olympic division of the department received many radio calls regarding gunshots. The division also heard a man screaming. The location of the incident as reported by the department is the 700 block of South New Hampshire Avenue.
On arriving on the spot, the police recovered the body of a man from the front of an apartment, who has been shot several times. The paramedics checked the body and declared the dead on the spot. As per initial investigations, the police suspect that the assassin arrived in a black SUV and was a black man wearing dark clothes. Later the L.A. County Coroner’s Office declared that the victim was Half Ounce, the 32-year-old rapper.

The police department also stated that at the time of the incident, Half Ounce was talking to his pregnant wife over the phone.
