To proceed, the candidate must properly answer at least 60% of the questions in the test (60% for Maharashtra). When the candidate passes the driving exam, they will be issued a learner’s permit. They can take a printout and have it with them at all times, whether driving or riding.

The transport ministry has announced new regulations (Driving Licence Rules) for certifying driver training centers. Candidates will be given high-quality driving lessons and will not be required to take driving tests when applying for a license.
These training facilities will be outfitted with simulators and a specialized driving test track to provide candidates with high-quality coaching.
As per the announcement, a light motor vehicle driving course in an approved driver training center will last 29 hours over a maximum of four weeks from the date of the course’s start. The class will be divided into two parts: theory and practice.
In the training centers, medium and heavy motor vehicle driving courses last 38 hours over a six-week period. These are to be separated into two categories, theory and practical.
The course will also cover the fundamentals of ethical and courteous driving behavior with other drivers.
The accreditation provided to certified driving instruction centers is valid for five years and can be renewed.
