It appears that The Veil won’t remain a mystery for too much longer in Destiny 2, as Bungie has addressed Lightfall complaints head-on and revealed new plans to expose the campaign’s biggest secret.
On February 28, Lightfall, the penultimate book in the Light and Darkness saga, finally came into focus. It brought with it a much-anticipated campaign. However, it was quickly criticized PBeforethe release of The Final Shape the following year, Lightfall should have officially started to answer questions that have persisted for almost a decade and started to tie the story together. Instead, it just kept putting on a show with new questions.
What specifically does The Witness wish? Why does everyone else seem to know about The Veil but not us, and what is it? What genuinely happened to The Traveller? Some key moments in the new expansion were not entirely explained, leaving many players dissatisfied.
Bungie has responded to the criticism in a March 9 TWAB blog, recognizing the faults of the original campaign and promising that certain concerns will soon be resolved with upcoming new content.
