This year, the contracts for two Utah Jazz players are getting expired. Based on the news, it is clear that the Jazz is not planning any extensions for those players. Let us have a look at the performance of those players this season and whose contract extension is cancelled for Utah Jazz players.
Juan Toscano-Anderson Got Grade C
So far, in 22 games, Juan failed to impress people through his plays. Even after playing two seasons with the Golden State Warriors, the player was like a do-it-all kind of player. His performance seems to be better in those seasons. But after that, he didn’t make any attempt to perform well.
His performance led people to forget about this player on the team. With his less eye-popping results, he almost got lost in the game. Due to this, he never grew as a player in Utah.
A couple of good games in his history didn’t help him at all. As people expect some constant good plays from the players. When you consider the average points in those games, it was just 3.4 points in 15.2 minutes. His overall percentage is 40.3% and it was 17.4% for 3-point range.
But the player got good comments from his head coach, Will Hardy, and other coaching staff. He got good support for his attitude of helping young players. Even, the player’s way of communicating with young players seems to be supportive.
Though players got good appraisals for such things, such facts didn’t help them at all. This shows that the player needs some comfortable zone to shine well in his career. But he didn’t get a chance to explore, as he fails to engage audiences through his play.
Udoka Azubuike Got Grade F
It is crucial to consider that the player gets this grade for drafting. There is no use with this grade and thus, people consider it to be a poor decision for Jazz. Freak injuries will not be the reason for not liking any players. But this applies to Udoka in Jazz, as he played in 68 NBA games.
The player got one injury followed by other injuries continuously in his career. Though the player was healthy, no one on the team liked him. But still, he enters the court without proper condition.
Based on the rules, after playing for three years, the players should get the freedom to play on themselves. There shouldn’t be any command or direction applicable to teammates. The big problem with this player is his skill level due to which replacement happens.
The above problem became clear when Damian Jones suddenly entered the team at the end. Even Jones’ activity on the playing court indirectly means that he deserves to be a backup over Azubuike. So, the player didn’t get this grade due to
- Injury History
- Jazz’s decision for drafting
Thus, it is clear that the player got this grade, as he fails to prove himself as a good player. For any players, they must be no expiring deals in the game.
