Davido was born David Adedeji Adeleke on the 21st of November 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia. However, his father Adedeji Adeleke is a successful business magnate who owns Pacific Holdings Limited and is the President of Adeleke University.

His mother Veronica ‘Vero’ used to work as a University Lecturer. Also, Davido grew up alongside five older siblings and he is his father’s second-born son. However, he first attended British International School Lagos (BIS) in Victoria Island, before moving to Alabama, United States, to study business administration at Oakwood University at the age of 16.

After coming back to Nigeria, Davido began recording his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo in 2011. However, Davido collaborated with big names such as Jay Sleek, Maleek Berry, GospelOnDeBeatz, Spellz, Mr Chidoo, Dokta Frabz, Theory Soundz, and Shizzi to produce this mixture of Afrobeats and hip-hop albums.
