Davido was born David Adedeji Adeleke on the 21st of November 1992, in Atlanta, Georgia. However, his father Adedeji Adeleke is a successful business magnate who owns Pacific Holdings Limited and is the President of Adeleke University.

After coming back to Nigeria, Davido began recording his debut studio album Omo Baba Olowo in 2011.
