The first trailer for Disney+’s upcoming fantasy drama series Willow. However, based on the 1988 film of the same name, has been released. The show will be a sequel to the film, with both returning favourites and new characters.
Willow, as far as I can tell, is the ideal fantasy adventure: thrilling and hilarious. It will follow the heroes of the first film as they defend the world of Andowyne from an evil force. Click here to watch the trailer and learn more about the film.
Willow’s Promo Teases Evil Coming to Destroy Andowyne’s World
The trailer contains several exciting scenes that are spiced up with some magic and humour. Willow is seen leading his new band of heroes on the hunt for Elora Danan. Danan was the original helpless little kid in the film. She should be an adult now, but she hasn’t been seen since she was a child.
According to the comments, the trailer was well received. “Never saw the original, this looks surprisingly good, we need Lucasfilm movies. This should have been one,” one viewer wrote, while another said. “I have no doubt that this will be a supremely entertaining time, and I’m greatly looking forward to this sort of old-school brand of fantasy charm!”
Original Series Star Warwick Davis Returns as Willow Ufgood
Warwick Davis, who played the protagonist in the 1988 film, returns to reprise his role. Ruby Cruz will play Kit, Erin Kellyman will play Jade, and Ellie Bamber will play Dove. On the other hand, Amar Chadha-Patel will play Boorman, and Joanne Whalley will play Sorsha. Dempsey Bryk, Tony Revolori, Rosabell Laurenti Sellers, and Talisa Garcia are among the cast members.
According to the plot synopsis, Warwick Davis’s character is an aspiring sorcerer. He embarks on a quest to protect the infant empress Elora Danan and defeat the evil Queen Bavmorda of their world, Andowyne.
“Now the story continues with Davis reprising his titular role, leading an unlikely crew of heroes on a quest to protect Andowyne from an even larger foe than they had envisioned,” the article continues.
The show’s creator, Jon Kasdan, claims that viewers will enjoy it
In an interview, Jon Kasdan dismissed it as “a whole new thing.” I saw an opportunity with Willow to bring back this story as soon as I got involved with Star Wars with George, Kathy, and my father.
We three really enjoyed this story; I enjoyed it as a fan and they enjoyed it as a working experience. Moreover, so we decided to keep it going. Lawrence Kasdan says, “I knew Warrick was excited to do it, to play it again.” “Ron was equally excited when he came to work on Solo with us.”
However, to summarise: “All I could think about was how I was going to pull this off. How am I going to give it the same level of devotion that we attempted to give to Solo?” There is scathing commentary, allusions to the original tabletop game, and even a novelization of the story in the Willow series. We dug in, and I’m hoping that the true fans will find it rewarding.
