Lindsay Clancy, of Duxbury, is accused of murdering her three children. She continues to be held without bail. Clancy was committed to Tewksbury Hospital for the next six months. The Duxbury mother strangled her three children to death. She is to remain at the hospital after she pleaded not guilty at her arraignment from the hospital Thursday. The two sides and the judge agreed to a new hearing on the morning of January 17 after the hearing on Friday.
Clancy was ordered held without bail as she is treated at a mental health facility. She did not appear for the pre-trial conference Friday afternoon at Plymouth County Superior Court. Clancy has pleaded not guilty to the murder charges in the death of her three young children.
The case was that she was accused of strangling her three young children to death at their home on January 24. She survived slitting her wrists and neck. Clancy even tried to jump out of a window. The prosecutor confirmed this on evidence.
Patrick Clancy, the father, was out of the house at the time the children were strangled. This was allegedly in a calculated attempt to buy time for the killings. Prosecutors have said that the mother tied exercise bands around the children’s necks.
Clancy’s husband revealed that she had been having suicidal thoughts. She even had intended to hurt the children. Police have found a journal loaded with her suicidal thoughts and other listed medication. She had been listing ways to kill.
Court lawyers have recently opened the 300-page document with a search warrant of the Duxbury house. These are the documents that have kept the case in ties till now. She will remain in the hospital. Her treatment will continue as ordered and held without bail.
