The young tennis player Frances Tiafoe was born on the 20th of January 1998 in Hyattsville, Maryland. However, he grew up alongside his twin brother named Franklin. His father Constant Tiafoe relocated to America back in 1993 where he met Frances’ mother Alphina Kamara, who came from Sierra Leone. Therefore, in 1999 His dad worked in a construction group as a day labourer that created the JTCC in School Park, Maryland.

Professional Career

After being given a wild card by his home contest, at the age of 16 Tiafoe made his ATP Tour main draw debut at the 2014 Citi Open in Washington, D.C. In his first career tour-level tournament, he saw failure after losing to Evgeny Donskoy.

However, Tiafoe earned a wild card into the qualifying draw at the 2014 US Open, however, he lost to eleventh seed Tatsuma Ito. He has honoured a wild card into the leading draw with Michael Mmoh, in the doubles tournament.
