The 13th edition of ICC Men’s World Cup hosted by India. International Cricket Council announced the World Cup 2023 schedule. For the first time ever Indian alone will host the 50 over world cup. India last hosted the mega tournament alongside Srilanka and Bangladesh in 2011. The initial schedule for the tournament was from February 9th to March 26th. Due to the covid pandemic and the World Cup 2023 got postponed to October & November 2023.
ICC Mens World Cup 2023 will begin on 5th October 2023 with the final being played on 19th November 2023. India cohosted the World Cup alongside Pakistan in 1987, Ceylon & West Pakistan in 1996, Srilanka & Bangladesh in 2011.

The ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is one of the major tournaments held once every four years. The World Cup 2023 is one of the most prestigious events in international cricket. The first ICC Men’s ODI World Cup was held in 1975 and the last edition was hosted by England & Wales in 2019, where England emerged as the champions, defeating New Zealand in a thrilling final.
The 13th edition of the tournament, and the first time India will host the event on its own. The tournament will feature 10 teams, who will compete in a round-robin format, followed by semi-finals and a final.
Australia is the most successful team in the ODI World Cup history winning five times. England enter the 2023 World Cup as defending champions. India clearly has the home advantage.
Cricket World Cup 2023 Overview
India will be the hosts of the 2023 Cricket World Cup. ICC announced Cricket World Cup 2023 schedule. The tournament is scheduled between 5th October and 19th November. The Tournament will be played in a round robin format with 10 teams participating. A total of 48 matches will be played in the tournament.
Each team will play a total of 9 matches in the league stage. The top four teams at the end of the league phase will qualify for the semi finals of the Cricket World Cup 2023. The winner of the semi final 1 and semifinal 2 qualify for the finals to be played on 19th November.
