WWE Legend and hall of famer Trish Stratus has been expressing her criticisms of women’s wrestling in the present day. She has been questioning the killer instinct and intangible qualities possessed by her younger peers. Since her on-screen heel turn, Stratus has only become more vocal, even going as far as suggesting that she was the first wrestler to make fans “give a crap about the women’s division” during her peak run in the mid-2000s.

During a recent interview with the “After The Bell” podcast, Stratus was asked about her specific desires for today’s WWE product.

Trish Stratus responded to the question by stating, “I want to see more Trish Stratus,” implying that the women’s division could benefit from more sex appeal and showmanship. She also explained that every time she returns to WWE, she has a few criteria she wants to meet.

These include making sure the performance is interesting and intriguing for the fans, creating an impact for future generations, being challenged as a performer or entertainer, and confirming if she can still do it, given her experience of over 23 years in the field.

At WrestleMania 39, Trish Stratus received a pleasant surprise when all her questions were answered. She even confessed to feeling “at home again” and gained a sense of reassurance that she could perform as a full-time wrestler, rather than just a nostalgia act. She made this clear in her promo on “WWE Raw” earlier this week.

Regarding her promo on “WWE Raw,” Stratus stated that her intention was to break even more gender barriers.

Trish Stratus emphasized that people should forget about gender and see everyone as just “superstars on the show.” She believed that while progress had been made in establishing this mindset. There were still instances where matches were labeled as “girl’s matches.” Stratus aimed to eliminate such gender biases and hoped to be remembered as the greatest superstar in WWE history.

Despite her ongoing rivalry with fellow WWE Hall of Famer Lita and Becky Lynch. Fans wondered if Trish Stratus would pursue the women’s titles held by Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley. When asked about this, Stratus responded by saying, “I like shiny things.” She also pointed out that nowadays, there are multiple titles to compete for.

Stratus then added a surprising revelation, “I’m not a numbers person. My retirement match in September 2006 was me retiring as champion. So, am I technically still the champion? I might be approaching 6,000 days now.”
