Malaysia is trying to promote tourism in 2020

Well, Malaysia is planning to attract 30 million international tourist arrivals for the Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign which will begin on January 1 in a bid to make Malaysia the destination of choice for leisure and business. So, guys what’s keeping you waiting pack your bags and move ahead to Malaysia for a rocking vacay.
As per the reports, tourists who will be visiting Malaysia will be required to produce proof of sufficient cash for expenses and will have also to produce a complete itinerary while travelling to the country. Apart from this, they should also be ready with a valid return ticket. However, entry and exit to the country will only take place through the authorized airports or entry points.

Chinese and Indians are the top contributors to the tourism sector

Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry secretary-general Datuk Dr. Noor Zari Hamat said that tourists from the two Asian countries are among the top contributors to the nation’s tourism sector.
He further said, tourists from Singapore and Indonesia have also remained on the tops arrivals, followed by tourists from China, India, and Thailand.

In this regard, he said, “We expect tourists’ arrivals from China and India to remain high with the move by the government to suspend the need for a visa for one year.”
The registered tourists have to travel to Malaysia within three months and the 15-day-visa-free period cannot be extended.
