Alchemy of Souls second season, which consisted of ten riveting episodes, recently concluded. With each new episode, the show’s popularity grew steadily.
Jang Uk ascended to the afterlife in the second season, still grieving the death of his beloved Mu-deok, and became a merciless hunter of soul shifters. Fans are wondering if and when their favourite show will return for season 3 now that season 2 has concluded. To find out, continue reading.
Is Season 3 of Alchemy of Souls on the way?
Alchemy of Souls fans will be disappointed to learn that the show will not return for a second season. To tell the entire story in the first two seasons, 30 episodes were planned. Now that the story has concluded, there is no room for a third season.
Neither tvN nor Netflix has confirmed whether or not the show will be renewed. Despite the fact that we were only halfway through Season 1, production on Season 2 had already begun. Furthermore, most K-Dramas end after the first season and do not continue with a second season, so a third season seems unlikely. However, we should wait until we hear from tvN and Netflix directly.

What happened at the end of the second season of Alchemy of Souls?
In the season 2 finale, Jang Uk used his entire arsenal of abilities to defeat the demonic firebird and save the world. Kim reveals her pregnancy to Park-jin on the show after a year.
Following the deaths of the King and Queen, the Crown Prince ascends to the throne. Meanwhile, Janu Uk and Bu-yeon continue to protect the realm and track down relics that have eluded Jinyowon. The plot lines were all resolved, and the show ended on a high note.
At this point, all of the actors have moved on to other projects.
Some of the Alchemy of Souls cast members have already moved on to other projects. Jung So-min, who played Jin Bu-yeon, has begun filming her next film, 30 Days. Hwang Min-hyun, who played Yul in the previous film, will play the lead role in the upcoming Korean drama Useless Lies.
