Vincent J. Hughes, born on October 26, 1956, is a Democratic member of the Pennsylvania State Senate, representing the 7th District since 1994. A Temple University graduate, Hughes worked in administration before his political career. He served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 1987 to 1994 and succeeded Chaka Fattah in a special election for the State Senate in 1994.
