Janelle Monáe has made Usher blush in a recent instance! Following the viral serenade of Keke Palmer, which reportedly ignited a dispute in her now-concluded relationship, Usher replicated the gesture with Janelle Monáe during a Las Vegas concert. However, this time, it was Usher who blushed during the performance.
Accompanying a collection of videos posted by the 37-year-old Monáe on Instagram, she captioned them with,
“We bl(ush)ed in Vegas 💋 🖤 thank you @usher 🖤 1 of 1. incredible show.”
In the video clips, Monáe reclined on a railing while Usher serenaded her with “Superstar.” They proceeded to dance and exchanged intense eye contact. In one of the clips, Usher, 45, assured her, “I promise you, that was a moment to remember.” It wasn’t confined to just one song; he also performed his track “There Goes My Baby” as they shared a sip of Champagne together at one point.
Usher is known for famously serenading fortunate women in the audience at his shows. However, it stirred controversy when he performed a serenade for Keke Palmer earlier this year, resulting in an outburst from Darius Jackson, the father of her child. Since then, they have gone their separate ways, and she filed a restraining order against him earlier this month.
Despite the evident chemistry between Usher and Monáe, he expressed the significance of his girlfriend, Jennifer Goicoechea, in an interview with People this month. He stated, “I have an amazing partner, a support system,” referring to Goicoechea, with whom he has two children. Usher highlighted the incredible dynamic in their relationship that allows him to maintain passion for his work and navigate the challenges of being a young father, emphasizing the importance of effective communication with their children.
