In a candid interview with ABC News following his recent conviction in a domestic violence trial, Hollywood actor Jonathan Majors expressed shock and fear at the jury’s decision. Majors, known for his role as Kang in Marvel’s “Loki,” was found guilty of misdemeanor third-degree assault and second-degree harassment but plans to appeal the verdict.

Jonathan Majors, 34, revealed his emotional turmoil after the verdict, stating, “I’m standing there, and the verdict comes down. I say, ‘How is that possible based on the evidence? How is that possible?'” The actor, who maintains his innocence, intends to share his side of the story as part of the healing process.

Majors, arrested following a March 2023 altercation with ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari in New York City, reflected on the incident, admitting that picking her up was “one of the biggest mistakes” of his life. He denies twisting her arm and causing any injuries to her. He said, “She went to grab the phone. I held the phone. I pulled the phone back. She came on top of me, squeezed my face, slapped me. That’s all I remember”.

The jury’s mixed verdict, acquitting Majors of some charges while finding him guilty of others, reflects a belief that he recklessly assaulted Jabbari, though not with intent. Majors expressed his belief that race played a role in his arrest and conviction, claiming that if roles were reversed, the outcome would be different.

However, He acknowledged being reckless with Jabbari’s heart but vehemently denied physically harming her.

In response to Majors’ interview, Jabbari’s attorney criticized the actor for “continuing to take no accountability for his actions” and questioned his lack of remorse. Despite Majors’ protestations, the attorney emphasized the jury’s decision and suggested it would influence sentencing.

Majors, who is awaiting sentencing on the misdemeanor charges, expressed the personal toll the case has taken, revealing that he hasn’t seen his daughter due to the ongoing legal proceedings. He tearfully stated, “Everything has kinda gone away. And it’s just me now, you know, and my lovely partner, Meagan, and my dogs.”

Looking ahead, Majors, dropped from future Marvel productions after the verdict, remains optimistic about his career in Hollywood. “Yeah, I do. I pray I do,” he said when asked if he thinks he’d work in Hollywood again, emphasizing that it’s “God’s plan and God’s timing.”

Jonathan Majors’ exclusive interview with ABC News provides a glimpse into his emotional state following the domestic violence conviction. As he awaits sentencing, the actor maintains his innocence, expressing hope for a second chance in Hollywood and attributing the ordeal to “God’s plan and God’s timing.”
