Hollywood actor Josh Duhamel and Audra Mari are overjoyed to announce the arrival of their newest family member, Shepherd Lawrence Duhamel. The couple confirmed the exciting news on Instagram by sharing a heartwarming photo featuring the tiny feet of their newborn.
Born on January 11, baby Shepherd marks the first child for Josh Duhamel and Audra Mari as a couple. The 50-year-old “Transformers” star is already a father to 10-year-old Axl, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Fergie. In an interview with Parade, Duhamel revealed his son’s adorable reaction upon learning about becoming a big brother.
“He’s like, ‘Wait, now, am I going to be — You’re still going to love me, though, too, right?’ ” Duhamel shared. He reassured his son, saying, “Of course, I’m going to still love you. You’re still the firstborn son!” Duhamel expressed his son’s excitement and love for babies, mentioning that Axl is thrilled about the new addition to the family.
The actor, who stars in the upcoming film “Shotgun Wedding,” had previously shared his enthusiasm for expanding their family. In an interview on In Depth with Graham Bensinger, Duhamel discussed their hopes for the future, stating that while he might not aim for the eight or nine kids his sister mentioned from his younger years, they do hope to have more children.
Audra Mari, commenting on the topic, humorously noted that if Josh were 40, he might indeed want five more kids. She expressed their shared hope for more children, saying, “That’s the hope.” The couple tied the knot in September 2022, and with the arrival of baby Shepherd, they embark on this new chapter of parenthood together.
As fans and well-wishers celebrate the news, the Duhamel-Mari family’s joyous moment becomes a source of delight in the world of entertainment, showcasing the happiness that a new addition brings to their lives.
