However, Keanu Reeves devastates the internet and admits he’s not perfect. Keanu Reeves elegantly honoured his late co-star Lance Reddick, who died on March 17 at age 60, by wearing a blue ribbon on his lapel at the “John Wick: Chapter 4” premiere Monday.
Also, Reeves hit the red carpet wearing the sentimental ribbon, which popped against his dapper black suit.
Blue was Reddick’s favourite colour, which made for a fitting tribute to the actor who starred in all four instalments of the film franchise.
According to TMZ, the blue ribbons were passed out to the cast and crew before the film’s premiere.
The ribbons included a note that read, “We kindly ask you to wear this royal blue ribbon in honour of our dear friend Lance Reddick.”Reeves spoke emotionally about his admiration for Reddick on the red carpet.
“He was a beautiful person, a special artist [and] a man of grace and dignity [with] such a passion for his craft,” the “Constantine” actor told Deadline.
“To have had the chance to work with him over the 10 years and four films [in the franchise] is something very special to me.”
“It f–king sucks he’s not here,” Reeves, 58, continued.
Lance Reddick, ‘The Wire’ and ‘John Wick’ Star, Dead at 60
On March 17, police confirmed the news of Lance Reddick‘s death. Over the years, he has done incredible roles that are important in movies such as John Wick. The Wire, Resident Evil, and more.
Lance Reddick is a well-known actor who has made a name for himself in both television and film. So, the public recognized him for his roles in popular shows like “The Wire,” “Fringe,” and “Bosch,” as well as in movies like “John Wick” and “Godzilla vs. Kong.”
Terrible news for the entire television. The film community found actor Lance Reddick dead in his room on Friday. Also, he was 60 years old. At the time the public found him, Reddick was part of the ‘John Wick 4’ press tour that was taking place in the United States ahead of the film’s premiere.
According to TMZ, the actor’s cause of death is currently unknown. Also, people believed that it was for natural causes. However, the entire entertainment community has poured messages of support to his family in this difficult time.
Just a couple of days before this terrible event. Reddick himself posted a video of his dogs barking and everything seemed okay. Given how relatively young he was, there is an ongoing investigation into his untimely passing.
