Reggie Wright, a former Death Row bodyguard, appeared on the Bomb1st podcast yesterday to discuss his role in Tupac Shakur’s 1996 murder. Also, get to know more about Keefe D.
And you’ll never guess who he mentioned! Reggie revealed Gangster Keefe D’s involvement and predicted that the last surviving suspect would be indicted this year.
What is the identity of Keefe D, and what role did he play in this crime? Continue reading to learn more about this situation.
What exactly does Keefe D. stand for?
Duane Keith Davis, alias “Keefe D,” is a member of the Southside Compton Crips based in Compton, California. In the drug trade, he made a fortune. Keefe D, also known as “The Godfather of Gangsta Rap,” is an old friend of Eazy- E’s.
Tupac Shakur and Christopher “The Notorious B.I.G.” Wallace are two of the most well-known.

When Speaking of Tupac’s Assassination
On September 7, 1996, Tupac and Orlando Anderson, the nephew of Keefe D, fought at the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Tupac went to Marion Knight’s club, the now-defunct Club 662, with Death Row Records’ Marion Knight.
Two people were stopped on Las Vegas Boulevard by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s Bike Patrol for listening to old music and driving without licence plates in a 1996 BMW 750 iL. They were released not long after.
They eventually came to a stop at a red light at the intersection of East Flamingo Road and Koval Lane, directly in front of the Maxim Hotel. The assailant arrived on Knight’s side of the road in the backseat of a white four-door Cadillac and opened fire.
Anderson and Keefe D connection
Andreson, the accused shooter, was with his uncle Keefe D when he opened fire with a.40 S&W Glock 22 on his BMW. Shakur received six blows to the body in total: four to the chest, one to each arm, and one to each thigh. A bullet struck his right lung.
Despite his injuries, Knight was able to drive Shakur to the intersection of Las Vegas Boulevard and Harmon Avenue.
It’s also odd that Shakur didn’t provide any information about the accused’s identity. A cop claimed to have witnessed Shakur’s death in 2014.
According to a nook published in 2011 by former LAPD detective Greg Kading, who previously investigated the murder of Christopher “Biggie Smalls,” Sean “Diddy” Combs paid a $1 million bounty to Keefe D. Kefee D blamed Anderson for Tupac’s death in a taped conversation.

Is the rumor that Keefe D was responsible for Tupac’s death true?
Duane Keith Davis, who has been named as an accessory in Tupac Shakur’s murder, has been the subject of numerous media reports. Davis, aka Kefee D, admitted in 2018 that he was involved in the 1996 murder of the American rapper.
Kefee D claims he was a passenger in a white Cadillac on the night of the crime. Though he refused to name any other possible perpetrators, he did name his nephew, Orlando Anderson, as the shooter. Keefe admitted as much when he stated that he has cancer and won’t live long.
