Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2’s Season 2 may have just begun, but there is already great anticipation for Season 3 and what lies ahead. Here, we go over the specific date and the CoD content’s upcoming season.
After weeks of anticipation, leaks, and build-up, the second season of post-launch content for Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 was finally released on February 15.
Both games underwent a great change, with Ranked Play and Hardcore being removed from the annual update. At the same time, a new Ashika Island Revival map and a variety of weapon improvements were added to the battle royale.
But, given that the upcoming seasonal update is expected to be yet another massive one, some gamers are already considering it. What can we anticipate when it does arrive, and when will it come?
Is There A Date for Its Release?
Activision and its production teams typically don’t announce the beginning of a new season till much closer to the game’s release.
We can, however, utilize the Battle Pass for the current season to determine a date. The Season Two Battle Pass became available on February 15 and has a 55-day timer ending on April 11, 2023.
Hence, either Tuesday, April 11, 2023, or Wednesday, April 12, 2023, will be the start of Season Three.
It’s important to remember that a release date will be determined closer to the beginning of the season. Season Two was postponed by a fortnight so the development teams would have more time to refine the patch and fully use the changes it brought about.
Season Three Content for Mw2 and Warzone 2
So, when it does drop, what can we anticipate? Typically, we are in the dark until the weeks prior, when leaks and rumors accumulate.
To appease complaints over reused and recycled content, Activision has, however, informed players in advance.
They declared that the much-anticipated 2v2 mode known as Gunfight will finally appear in Modern Warfare 2’s third season. It dropped in MW 2019.
Due to the strong player demand, a Treyarch-developed Ranked mode will be added to Warzone 2. Plunder will also be dropping in Warzone 2.
A significant leak that claimed to provide the content plans for forthcoming seasons has also been discovered. According to the report, the future content dump will include two new operators, three core maps, four Gunfights maps, a raid, three new weapons, one battle map, one Spec Operations mission, and a battle pass.
Whatever game they are playing, players have a lot to look forward to!
