Nima Momeni, the accused killer of Cash App co-founder Bob Lee, will appear in court today. On Thursday morning, San Francisco police made an arrest in connection with the murder of Cash App co-founder Bob Lee. A crime that stunned the city’s tech community and fueled fears of increased violence in the downtown area.
Nima Momeni, 38, of Emeryville, is accused of stabbing Lee twice in the chest. This happened at 2:30 a.m. on April 4 in San Francisco’s affluent Rincon Hill neighbourhood. Leaving a blood trail on the sidewalk. Lee, 43, was a charismatic, larger-than-life figure known for his leadership at Square and his work on the team. They launched Google’s Android operating system.
At 9:19 a.m., Momeni was arrested and taken into custody in San Francisco. His first court appearance is scheduled for this Friday.
Police Chief Bill Scott told reporters Thursday afternoon at the department’s headquarters in China Basin. It stated that the victim and suspect were acquaintances. Scott stated that, in addition to the arrest and search warrant in Emeryville. However, officers served two search warrants in San Francisco, but he did not elaborate.
Press Conference
Mayor London Breed began the press conference by commending law enforcement. It was for their handling of the case and recognising that it had received widespread media attention.

Momeni’s Criminal History

On the day before the murder, on April 3, at least one Besler resident reported a disturbance. She was yelling Momeni’s name.
Sam Singer, a public affairs consultant whose new office on the second floor is right next to Momeni’s loft. He recalled meeting a man who did the same thing: handed out business cards and made friends with complete strangers.
Singer remembered Momeni as “warm and welcoming,” recalling a time when Momeni visited his office.
