Lil Uzi Vert, the celebrated rapper, has been enjoying a successful stint following the release of ‘Pink Tape’ this summer. In a recent performance in their hometown, Philadelphia, the 28-year-old artist showcased a thrilling set, blending fan favorites with newer additions to their expansive musical repertoire.
Amidst the electrifying performance, Lil Uzi Vert took a moment to share their plans for the upcoming project, ‘Luv Is Rage 3’. Expressing a desire to return to their original style, they hinted at a shift from their recent music style, emphasizing, “I’m gettin’ back to my original sh*t.”
However, amid the anticipation surrounding their next album, Lil Uzi Vert dropped a bombshell by announcing their imminent departure from the music scene. During a Chicago tour last month, the artist disclosed that ‘Luv Is Rage 3’ would mark their “last” album. Despite initial disappointment from the audience, Uzi reassured fans of one final tour to support the album before bidding farewell to the music industry, aspiring to lead a “normal life.”
The rapper’s label recently made a plea on a billboard, urging Lil Uzi Vert not to retire, highlighting the impact and legacy they’ve built within the industry.
While the release date for ‘Luv Is Rage 3’ remains undisclosed, Lil Uzi Vert has been teasing the album for a while. The anticipation kicked off with the single “NFL,” hinting at what’s to come. This forthcoming project will follow the monumental success of ‘Luv Is Rage 2,’ known for its chart-topping track “XO Tour Llif3,” which soared to No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and achieved double platinum status from the RIAA.
