The former Teen Mom star filed for divorce from Ryan Edwards, 35, on Feb. 27 after nearly six years of marriage, E! News can confirm.
According to online court records, Mackenzie, 26, took a temporary grant restraining order against her estranged husband the same day. In addition, a judge signed an order granting Mackenzie temporary custody of the couple’s two kids. Their son Jagger, 5, and daughter Stella, 3.
So, the E! News has reached out to Mackenzie and Ryan’s teams for comment and hasn’t heard back.
Ryan Edwards’ wife Mackenzie has filed for divorce
Yeah, you read that right. Ryan and his wife Mackenzie have decided to go their separate ways. Also, media reported outlet Us Weekly that Mackenzie officially filed for divorce from Ryan on Monday.
Along with filing for divorce, the 27-year-old also took out a restraining order. Not only this, but Mackenzie also got temporary custody of their two children, son Jagger, 4, and daughter Stella, 3.
The news of Ryan and Mackenzie’s divorce comes just a couple of days after the Tennessee police issued two warrants for Ryan’s arrest. First one for stalking his wife and the other for violating her protective order.
Ryan Edwards Arrested for Stalking and Violating Order of Protection
The drama continues. Police arrested teen mom Ryan Edwards just days after estranged wife Mackenzie Edwards (née Standifer) filed for divorce.
Police took the reality star, 35, into custody on Wednesday, March 1. As for stalking and violating an order of protection. According to a press release from the Hamilton County, Tennessee Sheriff’s Department.
The arrest comes two days after Mackenzie, 26, officially filed for divorce from Ryan after six years of marriage. The wedding planner took a granted restraining order and temporary custody of their two children. Every document was obtained by Us Weekly on Monday, February 27.
