Jock Zonfrillo, the colourful and controversial chef and TV personality died suddenly on Sunday.
However, a new season of “MasterChef,” the reality TV show on which Zonfrillo was a judge. It will now launch on Sunday evening, the broadcaster said on Wednesday. The show was due to begin airing on Monday. Also, the transmission, they postponed as news of Zonfrillo’s sudden death, and the industry and public digested that. The network said that it had the Zonfrillo family’s blessing for the move.
“With the full support of Jock Zonfrillo’s family, MasterChef Australia will air at 7.30 pm on Sunday, 7 May,” Network Ten said in a statement.
Zonfrillo died in Melbourne at the age of 46. No cause of death came into the spotlight. While reports say that the police are not treating his death as suspicious. Australian news media have sought to explain the background to his demise. News.com.Au reported that Zonfrillo had recently moved to Rome, Italy. Also, he had returned to Melbourne for the show’s launch. The Daily Mail newspaper reported that he had secretly been suffering from bowel cancer.

MasterChef Australia will return to air on Sunday. As we know, the program’s season debut episode got delayed a week after the death of Judge Jock Zonfrillo.
The popular reality cooking show was due to debut its 15th season, which has already been recorded, later that night.
No one gave any cause of death, but police said there were no suspicious circumstances.
A statement posted to MasterChef Australia’s social media accounts said the episode would now air at 7:30 pm on Sunday, with the support of Zonfrillo’s family.
It will be an hour-long tribute to Zonfrillo. So, featuring contributions from his friends and “reflecting on his personal and professional life in a celebration of his incredible achievements”.

According to news.com.au, the reason Zonfrillo was alone at a Melbourne hotel. When he died that was because he’d left a family holiday in Italy early to return to Australia for the promotion of his show MasterChef Australia: Secrets and Surprises.
Along with his wife, Lauren, and their two children, Alfie, 5, and Isla. The Scottish-Italian chef had been enjoying a European break after wrapping filming for what was to be the 15th season of MasterChef.
But he’d returned home early to appear in a string of media interviews ahead. Also, he followed the first episode that had been due to air in Australia last night.
Instead, police were called to his hotel room at 2 am on Monday to conduct a welfare check. They discovered Zonfrillo’s body and, according to reports, are not treating the death as suspicious.
The acclaimed chef had shared a post on Instagram the night before his death. “The time has come for @masterchefau to kick off a new season filled with Secrets & Surprises! And @jamieoliver of course!”
His scheduled media appearances included as a guest on Channel 10′s The Project.
